Nitrogen oxides - NOx

The process of high-temperature fuel combustion in cement kilns is the cause of emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the air.

As a result of the use of different types of fuels and the application of innovative technological methods such as selective non-catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxide (NOx), Cementarnica USJE has managed to permanently reduce its nitrogen oxide emissions, which since 2014 have been far below the limit value of 800 mg/Nm³ defined by the national legislation.
