USJE donated apparatus for capillary determination of CRP in new-borns at the Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics - Skopje

The University Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics - Skopje received a donation of apparatus for capillary determination of CRP, which optimizes the delivery of antibiotic therapy to infants. The apparatus is a donation from Cementarnica USJE JSC Skopje for the new-borns from the Department of Neonatal Intensive Care and Therapy at PHI UCGO - Skopje.

- Early diagnosis and monitoring of our patients is crucial for timely diagnosis and treatment, which significantly improves the end result in their cure. Our clinic treats the highest risk infants and the new equipment, together with the exceptional professional capacity of our team, will significantly improve the correct approach to the application of appropriate antibiotic therapy in new-borns - said subspecialist neonatologist Renata Dimitrijoska from DNICT at PHI UCGO - Skopje.

In addition to the apparatus, USJE donated medical equipment to the University Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics, which provides specific support to medical staff working dedicatedly in the current conditions of the pandemic.

Nowadays, in conditions of a pandemic, we additionally feel the need to help where it is most needed, and that is the health sector - said Boris Hrisafov, Chief Executive Officer of USJE.

The University Clinic of Gynecology and Obstetrics, in addition to tertiary health care, also performs teaching activity in all segments of modern gynecology within the Faculty of Medicine. About 5.000 babies are born at this Clinic every year.
