Sulfur oxides - SOx

The presence of sulfur in the raw materials and fuels used to produce cement are the main cause of SOx emissions into the air. Most of the sulfates generated during the combustion of fuels during the technological process remain in the clinker and are not released into the atmosphere.

Due to the nature of the technological process and the continuous efforts and investment in modern technological solutions, Cementarnica USJE's sulfur dioxide emissions are significantly lower than the limit values determined by the current legislation in the country and EU regulations.
