USJE donated 200 tons of cement to Shtip Municipality

Following our policy for social responsibility and community development, USJE donated 200 tons of cement to the municipality of Shtip worth more than MKD 1.1 million. The donation is intended for reconstruction of riverbeds and bridges in the municipality, thus minimizing the consequences resulting from the floods.

“Considering the situation after the severe flooding in the eastern part of Macedonia, USJE made a decision to donate of 200 tons of cement, which will be used to rectify the damages caused by the floods. Cementarnica USJE in accordance with its social responsibility policy voluntarily joined the actions to improve the situation caused as a result of natural disasters,” says Boris Hrisafov, CEO of USJE.

Guided by their commitment for voluntarism and contribution to the community, our people voluntarily raised funds for the families in the affected regions, the amount of funds raised from personal donations of employees totals to nearly MKD 150.000 and the company doubled this amount, thus about MKD 300.000 will be transferred to the account of the Red Cross as an aid for improving the current living conditions.
