Cementarnica USJE is located in a mixed industrial-residential zone, surrounded by heavily trafficked streets. Therefore, it is hard to distinguish between noise from the activities within Cementarnica USJE and external activities (traffic and other industrial activities).
The noise measured at the monitoring points within the perimeter of the plant and the quarries does not exceed the limit values prescribed in the relevant regulations.
In 2013, Cementarnica USJE, in cooperation with the Faculty of Natural Sciences in Shtip, conducted a Control Study with an Action Plan for noise minimization in the plant's vicinity in Skopje. The implementation of the activities under this plan took place from 2013 to 2019, with the focus being on the installation of silencers and acoustic panels on equipment that might be a potential source of noise.
